Florence Arts and Museums
Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts is the hub of the city of Florence Arts and Museums. Our family of museums strives to introduce and facilitate educational experiences to our community and visitors alike. Our five museums include:

Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts
Host to special exhibits, workshops, and educational programming. The Kennedy-Douglass Volunteers support this public art center. Admission is free.
Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The Rosenbaum House – Alabama’s only Frank Lloyd Wright designed structure. $10 adults, $5 seniors/students
Tuesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4p.m.
Sunday, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Pope’s Tavern Museum
Nineteenth Century stagecoach stop, hospital, and inn, Pope’s Tavern is full of frontier-day artifacts and stories. Admission is only $5 for adults and $2 for students! Call 256-760-6439 for more information.

W.C. Handy Home and Museum
The original log cabin where music legend W.C. Handy was born has re-located to this site that is now part of the museum honoring Handy. Admission is only $5 for adults and $2 for students. Call 256-760-6434 for more information.

Florence Indian Mound Museum
This Woodland era ceremonial mound pre-dates the four Alabama native tribes. Our new Indian Mound Museum is OPEN. Call 256-760-6379 for more information. Admission is only $5 for adults and $2 for students!
