Florence Arts and Museums

Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts is the hub of the city of Florence Arts and Museums. Our family of museums strives to introduce and facilitate educational experiences to our community and visitors alike. Our five museums include:

Kennedy-Douglass Center for the Arts 

Host to special exhibits, workshops, and educational programming. The Kennedy-Douglass Volunteers support this public art center. Admission is free.

Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The Rosenbaum House – Alabama’s only Frank Lloyd Wright designed structure.  $10 adults, $5 seniors/students

Pope’s Tavern Museum

Pope’s Tavern is one of the oldest structures in Florence and dates to the 1830’s. Wounded soldiers were brought to the house during the Civil War, and the museum currently tells of life in Florence before and during the war. Admission is only $5 for adults and $2 for students! Florence Indian Mound Museum

This Woodland era ceremonial mound pre-dates the four Alabama native tribes. Our new Indian Mound Museum is OPENCall 256-760-6379 for more information. Admission is only $5 for adults and $2 for students!
