Atmospheric Landscapes in Watercolor with Judy Mudd

OCTOBER 13-15 Kennedy-Douglass welcomes watercolor artist Judy Mudd to the art center!

3-days of painting various rural and urban scenes in watercolor.  Starting with a photographed subject, we will pick and choose, deciding what to leave in and what take out.  Then arrange and change to make our artistic vision happen!  There will be an emphasis on various technique effects, brushstrokes for interest, making corrections, general composition and art content.   Come learn how to be more creative and expressive with painting atmospheric landscapes. Fee is $325 for all three days.

Judy is now a full-time artist and instructor teaching weekly classes and traveling to teach workshops.  She also offers painting videos-on-demand at PaintWatercolor.com for students wanting to learn her style of watercolor painting that are unable to travel to her workshops.  To make the online painting experience even more beneficial, she offers online painting groups where students can learn more, ask questions and post their paintings for feedback.

Judy is a signature member of the Southern Watercolor society, the Kentucky Watercolor Society, juried member of the Kentucky Arts Council and the Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen.   She has had paintings juried into many shows including the American Watercolor Society’s Annual Exhibition at the Salmagundi Club in New York.  Membership associations include AWS, as well as the Portrait Society of America, the National Watercolor Society, Plein Air Painters and other professional groups.
